
CA Foundation is a entry level exam for Chartered Accountant (C.A.) Course. CA Foundation exam is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This exam is conducted twice every year. Enrolment can be done after passing of 10th standard however exam can be given only after passing 12th examination.
- Registration: Students shall register themselves with ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountant of India) for CA Foundation Course.
- Qualifications: Students must have cleared standard 10th and 12th exams conducted by a recognized Board.
- Minimum Marks: Students must have cleared 12th class with a minimum aggregate percentage of 50%.
- Age Eligibility: There is no such age criteria prescribed by the ICAI for appearing in CA Foundation Exam.
CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2021 Exemptions
Criteria for Candidates | Exemptions |
UG & PG | Candidates who have secured aggregate marks of 55% in UG or PG degree in Commerce stream or any other equivalent stream for any recognized university will be exempted from CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2021. |
NIOS | Students who have qualified UG & PG degrees from Open University will be exempted from CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2021. |
Non-Commerce | Students who have UG & PG degrees in a stream other than commerce and have secured around 60% marks from a recognized university will be exempted from CA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2021. |
